Melanie and Henry welcome you to Watchcombe House, where we offer a bed and breakfast room in the main house and a self catering hideaway we call The Chalet in the grounds. The BnB room is a beautiful, large en-suite room with amazing views of the countryside. It is completely self-contained with direct access off the driveway via the conservatory. The Chalet is also self contained, situated close to the main house and the pool. There is a double room upstairs above the Cuban themed kitchen, living area.
Watchcombe House is situated in a rural location in the East Devon area of outstanding natural beauty (ANOB), also just to the south of the Blackdown Hills ANOB. We have a heated swimming pool, stables and 13.5 acres of land. It is nestled in the small hamlet of Watchcombe and enjoys a wonderful position at the top of a hill with fantastic panoramic views down the Axe Valley down to Colyton and towards Seaton to the south.
The market towns of Axminster and Honiton are the nearest towns, with the seaside resorts of Seaton, Beer, Lyme Regis and Charmouth all not far away. The closest pubs are in the medieval market town of Colyton which is only 2.4 miles away. The historic city of Exeter is 25 miles away.
